Tutoring for Teachers?
Teaching mathematics is difficult, and schools across the country have recognized this fact. That is why the AASA, with a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, have launched the MyLivePD Online Coaching Service for math teachers. The service, provided by Tutor.com, provides teachers with free, real-time coaching and collaboration activities in a number of areas, including differentiating instruction, classroom management, Common Core transitions, creating assessments and more.
The Department of Education has put a major emphasis on improving teacher quality, particularly in STEM. These are the kind of programs that really help teachers. We need more of this.
