Webinar: Supporting Students’ Emotional Health + Learning

In the last few weeks, learners of all ages have suddenly been pulled from their classroom communities. Students, like their teachers and professors, are grappling with new routines and technology, along with uncertainty, fear, and anxiety that extend far beyond the classroom. On Friday, April 10, we hosted a webinar on how schools, families, and the education community can come together to both respond to what may be new social emotional needs, and tend to the emotional success of our learners. A recording of the webinar can be accessed here. Our panelists included:

  • Marc Brackett, Ph.D., Founding Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence
  • Pamela Cantor, M.D., Founder of Turnaround for Children
  • Rebecca Kennedy, Ph.D., Assistant VP for Student Health & Wellbeing at the University of Alabama Birmingham
  • Alyssa Rafa, Policy Analyst at the Education Commission of the States
