Jenna Schuette Talbot is a trusted advisor to education, health, and workforce journalists and entrepreneurs alike. She frequently works with editors and reporters at national outlets like Forbes, Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times, and trade publications including Talent Economy and The Chronicle of Higher Education. As the founding director of Whiteboard Advisors’ strategic communications practice, she manages a team based in Washington, DC, and Silicon Valley, which develops creative public affairs, media relations, and thought leadership campaigns.
A go-to expert in the edtech community, Jenna has served as a co-producer of TransformingEDU at the Consumer Electronics Show and as a judge for the Milken PENN Education Business Plan Competition and SXSWedu’s Launch startup competition.
Prior to joining Whiteboard Advisors, Jenna directed external affairs for the American Enterprise Institute education policy program, where she led media relations, oversaw Capitol Hill and state think tank relations, and developed the program’s research agenda. She started her career in education as a research assistant to American Enterprise Institute scholar Frederick M. Hess.
Jenna’s belief in the transformative power of education began when teaching elementary health education in Cape Town, South Africa. She graduated with a degree in political science and journalism from Azusa Pacific University, where she serves on the Board of Trustees for the university system’s online college.
